what we offer

SCLEROTHERAPY

The refined solution for varicose veins. This proven, minimally invasive treatment targets visible veins with precision, restoring smooth, elegant legs without surgery.

We use Asclera®—the only FDA‑approved polidocanol solution—delivered with precise, gentle technique to stimulate natural absorption by the body.

No incisions, no downtime.

  • Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that treats visible veins by injecting a solution directly into the affected vein, causing it to collapse and gradually be absorbed by the body. The treatment requires minimal downtime, and can improve both the appearance of the skin and symptoms like aching or swelling.

  • You will receive a short medical assessment and vein mapping, followed by injections of Asclera into the problem veins. The procedure takes up to 30 minutes. After a short rest, you will be given aftercare instructions and can usually resume normal activities the same day with little downtime.

Individual responses to treatment vary and results cannot be guaranteed. Multiple sessions may be required depending on your body and the veins being treated. Veins can reappear, especially if recommended compression and aftercare are not followed. Bruising, tenderness, and temporary brown pigmentation can occur; pigmentation typically resolves on its own over weeks to months.

  • Our sclerotherapy treatments are priced at $550 per session, which includes a free consultation and pair of Bombas compression socks. We allow one session per day; some patients require only a single session, while others — depending on the number and extent of veins to be treated — may need additional sessions scheduled on separate days.

  • Stay active: walk regularly and avoid prolonged standing or sitting for several days.

On long flights or car trips, stand and move when possible; if you must remain seated engage the calf muscle venous pump.

Wear compression stockings every day for at least 1–2 weeks, removing them only to shower.

Avoid heavy lifting, running, and high‑impact aerobics for one week.

Avoid heat exposure to your legs (hot baths, saunas, sunbathing) for at least one week, as heat causes blood vessels to dilate.

Limit salt intake and drink plenty of water for 2–3 days.

For discomfort, you may take acetaminophen (Tylenol) if appropriate for you. Avoid ibuprofen and other NSAIDs for a short time, as they can increase bleeding.

Frequently

Asked

Questions

  • Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that most commonly appear on the legs. They develop when veins have difficulty circulating blood efficiently, causing blood to pool and the veins to become more visible over time.

  • Yes — varicose veins typically worsen over time if left untreated as vein valve function continues to decline and blood pools, increasing vein size and symptoms. Progression varies by individual and factors like genetics, pregnancy, prolonged standing, and obesity can accelerate worsening; early assessment and treatment can slow or stop progression and reduce complications.

  • Sclerotherapy is generally well tolerated and most patients describe only mild to moderate discomfort, often like a quick sting or cramping when the solution is injected. Any pain typically subsides shortly after treatment, and discomfort can be managed with cold packs, over-the-counter pain relief, and following your provider’s aftercare instructions.

  • Our sclerotherapy procedure typically takes about 30 minutes, depending on the number and size of veins treated. You can usually return to normal activities immediately, though strenuous exercise should be avoided for a few days.

  • Sclerotherapy destroys treated veins, and those specific veins do not return once successfully closed, so results for those veins are effectively permanent. However, new varicose or spider veins can develop over time, so maintenance treatments or preventive measures may be needed to preserve overall cosmetic results.

  • Most patients experience minimal downtime after sclerotherapy and can resume normal daily activities the same day, though wearing compression stockings for a few days to weeks is typically recommended. Avoid strenuous exercise and prolonged sun exposure for about 1–2 weeks to support healing and optimal results.

  • We do not accept insurance for cosmetic varicose vein treatments to avoid the delays, denials, and restricted coverage that can interrupt timely care. This allows us to deliver personalized, immediate treatment plans focused on your outcomes rather than navigating insurer approvals.
